Enjoy the games.

NCAA MBB Top 25 Polls (12/25)

Despite limited action, teams were on the move in the polls this week. While no teams moved in or out of either top 25, several teams fell drastically. North Carolina (Wofford), Kentucky (UCLA), and Miami (New Mexico St.) all suffered embarrassing defeat. As a result, all three programs dropped at least eight spots in each poll. Gonzaga also took a plummet in the polls after losing on the road to San Diego St. Miraculously, the top four in each poll remain unchanged. It’s clear, as of now, Villanova, Michigan State, Duke, and Arizona State are the best four teams in the country. After that, who knows? NCAA MBB Top 25 Polls (12/25).

Villanova is still #1 in the country, but they’re starting to see some heat from Michigan State and Arizona State. Duke will spend another week in the top five at number four. NCAA MBB Top 25 Polls (12/11)

We’ve reached a lull in the season. It’s exam week. The non-conference slate is over and conference bouts are set to get started. By now, team’s should know what they have. Get ready for three months of nailbiters and upsets. Court-storming will happen more than once and I guarantee you, the landscape of college basketball in spring will not look the way it does now. The official footrace to March is on. NCAA MBB Top 25 Polls:

NCAA MBB Top 25 Polls (12/4)

Though nothing changed in the top four of either poll, there was still plenty of shuffling throughout the top 25. Over the past week, the ACC/Big 10 Challenge took center-stage. The fourteen game interconference showdown featured a collection of quality non-conference games. However, the ACC flexed their muscle and took the Challange convincingly 11-3 in one of the most one-sided ACC/Big 10 Challenges to date. Despite Minnesota and Michigan State, the Big 10 looks extremely weak early in the season. So does the Pac 12. After Arizona’s free-fall last week, USC took a nosedive of their own this week. With Florida, Texas A&M, Kentucky all in the top 10, the SEC looks stronger than usual. Duke has a stranglehold on the number one spot in both polls. They look ready to take on a loaded ACC. No more, babbling here’s this week’s NCAA MBB Top 25 Polls (12/4).
