Okay. We’ve finally reached a point in the season where we kind of know what everyone has. There are some really good teams at the top and some really good teams middle of the pack with their work cut out for them. NHL Bottom 5

27. Vancouver Canucks (15-17-5) [LW: NR]

  • The Canucks check in at 27 but more importantly let’s recognize the Florida Panthers for fighting their way out of the Bottom 5. Well done.

28. Detroit Red Wings (13-16-7) [LW: 27]

  •  Detroit lost both their games this week and the struggle continues in Motor City. They’ll be happy to get back home this week after losing three of four on the road.

29. Ottawa Senators (11-16-8) [LW: 29]

  • Ottawa is feeling the road blues right now. They’ve played ten out of their last thirteen away from the Canadian Tire Centre. Over that span, they are 1-7-2 on the road and 2-1 at home.

30. Arizona Coyotes (9-25-5) [LW: 30]

  • This week the Coyotes stole one at home against Washington in overtime. Then they played a home-and-home with the Avalanche. Each team won on the road.

31. Buffalo Sabres (9-20-8) [LW: 31]

  • Things are going to get worse in Buffalo before they get better.
