Sunday Side Bets: NFL Week 15 *Updated*

Sunday Side Bets: NFL Week 15

Sunday Side Bets: NFL Week 15. For this week’s side bets we’re going in a different direction. Instead of the classic game we have been playing, we have a new game. For each NFL game on Sunday, we’ll present 2-4 players at a single position group. In addition, we’ll provide a single focus statistic. Then rank the players in the order you think they will finish in that statistical category for the game. You can only rank the players presented. Furthermore, if there is a tie within the statistical category, all tied positions will be considered.

For example, let’s look at Week 14’s Ravens versus Steelers game.

Week 14 Pittsburgh vs Baltimore

Position Group: Wide Receivers

Focus Statistic: Targets

Player Pool: Mike Wallace (BAL), Jeremy Maclin (BAL), Antonio Brown (PIT), Martavius Bryant (PIT)

The Correct Rankings would have been:

  1. Brown – 18
  2. Maclin -11
  3. Bryant- 10
  4. Wallace- 5

To win, you must have the rankings 100% correct for every game on the slate. Email your rankings to Contact@QuarterMasterSports.com before Sunday’s contest begin. The winner each week will be eligible for QuarterMaster prizes.

Regardless, check out some of the top plays from the past week and see where your favorite team ranks within their conference. 2. Nashville Predators (19-7-4) [LW: 1]

  • Last Week: L 3-4 (SO) vs VGS, W 7-1 at VAN

3. Los Angeles Kings (20-9-3) [LW: 4]

  • Last Week: W 4-3 (OT) vs OTT, W 3-2 (OT) vs CAR, L 1-5 @ NJ
  • This Week: @ NYR (FRI), @ NYI (SAT), @ PHI (MON)
  • Rongy’s Star: Tanner Pearson – 2 Goals, 1 Assist, 1 Game-Winning OT Goal
  • Quote: “I think we missed him in the room, his leadership, his voice, his demeanor between periods, all the stuff that fans never see. This team missed that direly last year. We understand what he does on the ice. We see it every night, but I think the whole package of what he brings to this team, we missed that last year. The team missed it for sure.” – Kings GM Rob Blake on Goalie Jonathan Quick’s leadership

4. St. Louis Blues (21-9-2) [LW: 4th WC]

  • Last Week: W 3-0 vs DAL, W 6-1 @ DET, W 3-2 (OT) vs BUF, L 0-3 vs TB
  • This Week: vs ANA (THU), vs WIN (SAT), @ WIN (SUN), @ CAL (WED)
  • Rongy’s Star: Jake Allen – 3 Wins, 101/106 Save Attempts (95.2%), 1 Shutout
  • Quote: “I just didn’t think we made it hard enough on Vasilevskiy. He’s the best goalie in the league this year. It’s not even close. We put pucks on net, but pretty easy for him.” – Blues Goalie Jake Allen after losing to Tampa Bay

5. Toronto Maple Leafs (20-10-1) [LW: 3rd EC]

  • Last Week: W 2-1 (SO) vs CAL, W 4-3 @ PIT, W 1-0 vs EDM, L 2-4 @ PHI
  • This Week: @ MIN (THU), @ DET (FRI), vs CAR (TUE), @ COL (WED)
  • Rongy’s Star: Tyler Bozak – 2 Goals, 1 Assist
  • Quote: “We’re a good team, and even when not playing our best we’ve been finding ways to win. We have to nip this in the bud before it becomes a problem. It’s back to basics, we’re sitting back too much, we’re one-and-done in the offensive zone.” – Leafs HC Mike Babcock

NHL Bottom 5

27. Edmonton Oilers (13-16-2) [LW: 28]

  • Edmonton continues to play better every week. This week they were able to pull off road wins in Montreal and Columbus. If McDavid & Co. can get a streak started, they may be able to overcome their miserable start.

28. Detroit Red Wings (11-13-7) [LW: NR]

  • Jimmy Howard and the Wings are in free-fall mode right now. Over their past 10 games, Detroit has only notched one victory (1-5-4). Over that span, they have been outscored 45-16.

29. Ottawa Senators (10-13-7) [LW: 29]

  • Like Detroit, the Sens are mired in a funk. Ottawa has only won one game in the past month (1-9-2). Maybe they can get back on track with their upcoming homestand.

30. Florida Panthers (12-14-5) [LW: 30]

  • It seems like the Panthers are content treading water at the bottom of the league. They look like they’ll be a mainstay in the Bottom 5.

31. Arizona Coyotes (7-21-5) [LW: 31]

  • The great debate begins. Who is worse, Florida or Arizona? Should there even be hockey teams in those locations?
